Innovation & Technology Forum
For the 2nd consecutive year, Legendary Gold Limited and Studio 1888 are ecstatic to announce Tech Day 24 as part of Africa Celebrates 2024. Tech & Innovation Forum will continue to explore cutting-edge tech advancements and join thought-provoking panel discussions by industry leaders. Dive deep into the future of technology in Africa and beyond.
Youth Forum on Climate Change
Youths working on climate change and sustainability from all over Africa will converge on the sideline of Africa Celebrates 2024. Climate change is a topical issue affecting the entire universe. African youths need to act on this issue with the goal of positively impacting their future and that of the continent.
DIASPORA AFRICA KONNECT (DAK)
For the 2nd consecutive year, Legendary Gold Limited in collaboration with J4ward Global Ltd, a British based Diaspora company is co-organizing Diaspora Africa Konnect on the sideline of Africa Celebrates 2024. The event is a platform designed to bring African Diaspora globally and African major players in the continent to a common goal of addressing the challenges faced by the Diaspora in engaging with Africa in all endeavors.
African Art Installation
This is an art exhibition that will be presenting the best young artists from across Africa. The art exhibition will run all through the 3 days of Africa Celebrates. These young creative minds will be supported by already established artists.

Sports & Lifestyle
In recognition of the value sports and lifestyle bring to our individual lives and nation building, Kloudout, Legendary Gold Limited and other partners will be putting together an interesting package of sports and lifestyle.
African Traditional Leaders Forum
There will be a continental forum for African traditional leaders on the sideline of Africa Celebrates 2024. This is a very important step towards fostering unity, collaboration, and development among our royal fathers across Africa with the goal of preserving our rich cultural heritage, customs, values, and traditions. To this end, Legendary Gold Limited will be partnering with FATA - Forum of Africa Traditional Authorities.
The Cultural Night
This is the cultural night of Africa Celebrates. It is an exclusive evening that will be showcasing African dance, music, and cuisines from the various participating countries.
The Gala Fashion & Awards Night
The 3 days festivities of Africa Celebrates 2023 will culminate into a gala fashion & awards night. This fashion event will be the 8th edition of the Africa Fashion Reception in Addis Ababa. The event will be presenting fashion designers from all over Africa. Only 1 designer is nominated to represent each country. At the gala, special recognition awards are usually bestowed on deserving Africans both on the continent and in the diaspora. These are Africans who have contributed to the advancement of the continent in one way or the other. The former President of Malawi, H.E. Dr Joyce Hilda Banda received one of the awards at the 2023 event.
More on Africa Fashion Reception
This is the gala fashion event for Africa Celebrates. The Africa Fashion Reception (AFR) is a Pan African initiative which has been organized annually with the African Union since 2014. It brings together Fashion Designers & Entrepreneurs, Models, Ambassadors, Ministers and media from all over Africa, in a celebration of cultural diversity expressed through the artistic fashion discipline with the proud theme ‘Africa is the New Inspiration for Global Fashion’.
Following the introduction of Africa Celebrates in 2021, AFR became the Gala Fashion & Awards Night of Africa Celebrates
The Africa Fashion Reception is aimed at achieving the following objectives using the creative industry of fashion as a vehicle:
- To build bridges by creating free trade and partnerships among fashion practitioners throughout the African continent in cognizance of the Africa Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA)
- To expand the potential power of fashion as a tool of fighting poverty in Africa by creating wealth through the empowerment of women and youths in the various fashion vocations through training, capacity building schemes, workshops and setting up of medium/small scale businesses thereby supporting the objectives of Agenda 2063 and the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.
- To bring about self-reliance as this initiative will create millions of jobs across the continent for Dressmakers, Creative Directors, Textile designers, Models, Cutters, Pressers, Fashion Photographers & Writers, Hair Stylists, Make-up Artists etc
Dress Code: Dress Africa
Guests attending the opening ceremony, cultural night and the gala fashion and awards night are encouraged to wear African attires. This is an opportunity to promote the rich and diversified African dress culture.
Africa Peace Walk & Street Carnival
There will be a “Peace walk for Africa” during Africa Celebrates 2024. The goal is to promote peaceful co-existence on the continent. This we believe will bring about a bright future and shared prosperity for African youths.
The Closing Mega Music Concert
A mega music concert will mark the closing ceremony of Africa Celebrates 2024. It will feature top music artists from across Africa. The 2023 closing music concert was headlined by Nigerian music star, Olakira of the Meserati fame.
TOUR PACKAGE
Africa Celebrates is the biggest platform to promote African tourism to the rest of the world. It presents each participating country with the opportunity to market their tourism destinations. A tour package has been put together for interested participants who want to explore beautiful Ethiopia.
